Deyi Secondary School National Cadet Corps seeks to nurture inspiring leaders and committed citizens. Guided by the NCC key thrusts of Leadership, Fitness and Commitment to Singapore; we are driven by the Corps’ eight core values of Loyalty to Singapore, Uprightness, Leadership, Discipline, Commitment & Responsibility, Care for Fellow Cadets, Adventurous Spirit and Safety.
We are the designated NCC Centre of Excellence for Precision-Drill Squad (PDS) in Central District. Our cadets conduct regular PDS courses for all NCC cadets within the District.
Our first year cadets begin their leadership training by learning to be responsible for their personal bearing. Cadets are also introduced to PDS and Free-style Drill (FSD).
In their second year, cadets would be further challenged by the Orienteering programme, enhanced PDS and FSD. As part of the training syllabus, our cadets will get to experience abseiling as well as learn the basics of handling the SAR 21.
Emphasis in their third year is on leadership modules with further exposure in leading others and putting into real practice the knowledge and skills learnt in the preceding years. Our cadets will lead and collaborate effectively with the ultimate goal of realising their fullest potential as a NCC cadet. As part of their training in Secondary 3, our cadets will have the opportunity to experience live firing using the SAR 21.
As Senior Cadet Leaders in their final year, our cadets will mentor the younger cadets.
