Welcome our new principal Mrs. Chan

 Deyi Secondary School welcomes Mrs. Linda Chan as its new Principal for the new academic year 2010. Mrs Chan the former Vice-Principal of Cresent Girls Secondary School, has served in various capacities within MOE. With her plethora of experience notably at the Curriculum Planning and Development Division, she will bring Deyi to greater heights of achievement. Mrs. Grace Chua who has been with us since 2003 has been transferred to Clementi Town Secondary. We would like to thank her for her many contributions to the school.

MOE ExCEL Fest 2010

MOE ExCEL Fest 2010 is a 2-day event with activities catered to teachers (5 Mar 10), parents and the public (6 Mar 10). Visitors will get to visit more than 80 school exhibition displays put up by various schools. In addition, there are also lots of interactive activities to keep everyone engaged at the MOE Pavilion and Village Olympia as well as over 100 engaging Sharing Sessions and Seminar Talks conducted by local and international experts on various educational topics.

Launch of the Centre of Excellence for the Performing Arts

 The launch of the Centre of Excellence for the Performing Arts will be held on 17 Nov 09 at Deyi Secondary School.  The launch marks a significant milestone in Deyi's History.  It reflects the collective efforts and passion of our stakeholders in nurturing performing arts talents in our young and leveraging on the performing arts to build character which are part of holistic education.

The theme "Renaissance City @ Deyi - Live, Work, Learn and Play with the Arts" is chosen to convey the message that Arts is for Everyone.  It defines our commitment to animate the Arts at Deyi, broaden the audience base, build capabilities and deepen participation in the Arts. Moving in
tandem with Singapore's aspiration as a global arts city, Deyi endeavours to be an arts powerhouse, contributing to our nation's efforts in nurturing appreciative arts audience and creative citizens.

Arts Conversations IV

As  a  Centre  of Excellence for the Performing Arts, Deyi Secondary School has  been  organising  Arts  Conversations – a series of workshops cum dialogue sessions with the aim to offer insights to arts industry practices and   deepen  an appreciation  of  the  arts.   These  sessions  also  provide an opportunity  for  visual  arts  and  performing  arts  teachers and students to interact and learn from professionals in the arts industries.

 Launch of the Green Wall and Snack Corner

On 30 March , the Green Wall was unveiled in the staff room by Principal, Mrs Grace Chua and Vice-Principal, Mrs Wang-Tan Sun Sun.  The Wall was created to promote a greener environment in the staff room and at the unveiling ceremony, staff brought their group’s potted plants and proudly showcased them on the display shelves.
